I had taught students from K2 to O levels. My specialties are English, creative writing and Maths. Under my tutelage,  these students had improved (just to name a few). P2 EL- 50 to 70 P3 EL- 80 to 92 P3 Sci- 58 to 87 P4 EL- 58 to 73 P6 Math- D (prelim) to B (Psle) P6 Sci- B (prelim) to A (Psle) P6 Eng- D (prelim) to C (Psle) P6 Math- A (prelim) to A (Psle) Mandy was the student who had straight As, tutored by me in Math and Science. Pointers for choosing a personal tutor We are spoilt for choices nowadays. There are so many tuition centres which spruced all over the island, not to mention the tutors who have advertised on the internet. How to go about the search for a suitable tutor?  1. Research on the background.       Ask for his credentials. Is he      qualified? Is he familiar with       the current syllabus?  2. Check the number of years he       had taught and experience as a tutor. 3. Ask for referrals. Usually, the easy way out is to go by recommendation. Have you considered this : whoever has groomed a student with a string of 'A's could have done it because the entry grades were good in the first place. That's why we should look for tutors who value add. 4. If you are unsure, ask for a trial lesson which is non-obligatory.  5. Check with your child/ward how he thinks about the tutor. ...
